This Privacy Policy explains how Labelz Live (“Labelz”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Labelz web app (the “Service”).

Scope note: Labelz helps you create Organizations/Workspaces, design label templates (text, barcodes/QRs, images), and generate single or bulk serialized labels for printing/export. This policy is written specifically for that functionality.

1. Information we collect
1.1 Account & profile data
- Name, email, password (stored in hashed form), and basic profile information.
- Authentication metadata such as last login time and account status.
1.2 Organization / Workspace data
- Organization and Workspace names, member lists, roles/permissions (e.g., Admin, Editor, Viewer).
- Activity metadata such as who created/updated a template or generated a batch.
1.3 Template designs & label content you create
- Template configuration: layout, text fields, fonts, colors, placement rules, barcode/QR settings, image placements.
- Label data you input or upload for generation (e.g., SKU, size, price, batch/lot number, serial numbers).
- Images/assets you upload to include in labels (e.g., logos, product images, marketing badges).
Important: You control what you put into label fields. Avoid placing sensitive personal information unless necessary for your use case.
1.4 Generated outputs & operational logs
- Generated label batches (including serial ranges), print/export settings, and generation status.
- Operational logs needed to run the Service, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot (e.g., error logs, request IDs).
1.5 Billing & payment data
- Plan selection, subscription status, invoices, payment references, and transaction timestamps.
- We do not store your full card/bank details. Payments are processed by our payment partners (e.g., Razorpay/PayPal/Stripe—whichever you enable). Those partners handle sensitive payment credentials on their systems.
1.6 Support communications
- Information you share with support (emails, attachments, screenshots, problem descriptions).
1.7 Cookies & device data (website usage)
- Session and security cookies (e.g., login session, CSRF protection).
- Basic device/browser data (IP address, user agent) for security and reliability.
- If you enable analytics: usage events/pages to improve the Service.
2. How we use information
- Provide the Service: create orgs/workspaces, save templates, generate labels, and deliver exports/prints.
- Security & abuse prevention: protect accounts, detect suspicious activity, rate-limit and prevent misuse.
- Billing: manage subscriptions, invoices, credits/usage limits (if applicable), and payment verification.
- Support: respond to requests and troubleshoot issues.
- Improve Labelz: fix bugs, analyze feature usage, and enhance performance (especially if analytics is enabled).
- Legal compliance: enforce our Terms, comply with lawful requests, and resolve disputes.
3. How we share information
We share information only as needed to run Labelz:
3.1 Service providers (processors)
- Hosting & storage: infrastructure providers that store your data and uploaded assets.
- Email: transactional emails for verification, password resets, and service notices.
- Payments: payment processing providers for subscriptions and invoice settlement.
- Error monitoring (optional): diagnostics tools that capture errors to improve reliability.
3.2 Within your Organization/Workspace
- Workspace members may see templates/labels depending on the permissions your Admin configures.
3.3 Legal / compliance
- We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of Labelz and its users.
3.4 No sale of personal data
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Data retention
- We retain account, workspace, and template data while your account is active to provide the Service.
- Billing records (invoices, payment references) may be retained longer to meet accounting/legal obligations.
- Operational logs are retained for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.
If you delete your account (or an Admin deletes a workspace), we will delete or de-identify data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., invoices).
5. Cookies & similar technologies
- Essential cookies: authentication session, CSRF protection, and security-related cookies.
- Preferences: UI preferences (if implemented).
- Analytics (optional): if enabled by you, we may use analytics cookies to understand usage patterns.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your data. See our Security Policy for more detail.
7. Your rights & choices
- Access & update: you can update profile and workspace information in the app (subject to role permissions).
- Export: you may export labels/invoices where the feature exists (e.g., PDF/CSV exports).
- Deletion: you can request account deletion by contacting us at shyama@labelz.live.
- Marketing: if we send non-essential emails, you can opt out (transactional emails may still be sent).
8. Children
The Service is not intended for use by children under 13 (or the age required by your local law).
9. Changes
We may update this policy. We will change the “Effective date” at the top and, if the changes are material, provide notice within the Service or via email.
